Baby - Introducing Your Family!

This post is to my baby...to let him/her know about their loving family and all of the excitement going on in the "background" to prepare for his/her birth!

Daddy:

Since you already know what Mommy is feeling from the previous posts, let me tell you about your Daddy. To say that he is on top of this world, would be an understatement. He loves kids. So, when he found out that you're on the way, he was happy and excited from Day 1! We even have some names short-listed. He doesn't care whether you are a boy or a girl - because the only thing he wanted was a little one of his own to love, cuddle and play with. Your Daddy is looking forward to having someone play video games with him, to spoil with all the latest toys and gadgets, someone to hug him and kiss him and someone he can love to no end! Every night, when we lay in bed, regardless of whether I'm awake or sleeping - your Daddy rubs your home (my tummy) and says this is his way of loving you before you enter this world, so I can't complain! He started doing this when you were the size of a letter on this post, so you can only imagine how much he will love you once you are in this world. :) Your Daddy will always have a soft spot for you no matter what - and if you're old enough to read this, make sure you go and give your Daddy a hug right away! :)

Naani & Daadi
So, little one, you should know...that your Naani & Daadi love you very much! They both have been waiting...and sometimes, not patiently, for this day!!! Haha :) Yes, after 6 years, their prayers were answered and news that you were going to be their grandchild was delivered to them both. Both of them were so excited! Your Naani literally screamed (and proceeded to share the news with your Naanu), and your Daadi booked a ticket the next day to come and take care of me (and feed you!) lol. Your Daadi is literally making me eat "AMLA KA MURABBA" (it is TOO sweet, and doesn't taste good) EVERYDAY! She is also making you yummy meals...sometimes before I can even think of what I feel like eating, she knows...so it seems like you two have a connection already! Your naani calls me to lecture me on the do's and don'ts, and most importantly to remind me to stay happy so that you are happy, too :) She is also always asking me what I would like to eat! You are blessed, little one, to have such loving grandmothers :)

Naanu & Daadu
Both your grandfathers are very down-to-earth, but both are geuninely excited and awaiting your arrival! Your naanu was in shock to hear that you're on your way :) Your daadu was a little more reserved, but happy just the same!!! Although both your grandfathers aren't as expressive right now, I can guarantee, they will be the ones to spoil you to no end...even more so than your grandmoms :)

Massi
Your Anu massi was the first to know about you!!! And needless to say, she is constantly asking me about you..."Howz chota doing?" hehe. She has nicknamed you "chota" meaning "little one." She is the one that will be throwing your baby shower (along with your Naani & Mansi Massi!) and is so excited to plan for everything around you. :) She is excited to be a "real" massi, and ready to play with you already!!! She was even planning on taking off from work to take care of me (before she knew that your Daadi will be here). She kept a 'chaliya' during which she also prayed for you to be here...and then once she found out that you're on your way, she prayed for your well-being everyday that she went to the Gurudwara. See how much your Massi loves you! :)

Mansi Massi is also very close to your mommy. Mommy spends almost every day talking about you, her thoughts, her feelings to Mansi Massi...on chat...while working ;-) Mansi Massi is really looking forward to your arrival - so much so, that on many days, she is feeling my pregnancy symptoms ;) That's called "sympathy" symptoms...goes to show how close we are!!! :)

Chachu and Chachi
Varun Chachu and Vani Chachi were among the first to know as well...and the news was shared by your Daadi to them, since she couldn't contain her excitement :) They just called me as well to share their happiness and excitement! Your chachu has always wanted to come to the US during Winter to see the snowfall, so you've given him the perfect excuse! Your chachi has already spoiled your mom with the latest kurtis (in maternity wear sizes!) so your mom can look all trendy while you're in her tummy :) Your Vani chachi has also kept a 'chaliya,' going to the Gurudwara and Mandir to pray for your well-being and good health.

Baby, you are blessed to have each one of these members of your family. Just remember, no matter what, each one of these family members will always remain by your side and will love you for who you are! Always try to make everyone in your family proud, because you mean the world to each one of us! :)
